What we will and will not print about a named business
Every company here is somebody's livelihood. These are the rules we work to, published so a reader can check us against them.
We do not invent numbers about anyone
No score, client count, revenue figure or result appears against a company on this site unless that company published it or it comes from a primary source we link. Where we could not read something, the site prints a dash and says why, rather than estimating. Three companies block automated access to their websites, so parts of their rows are unscored: RYNO Strategic Solutions, Scorpion, Rocket Media, CI Web Group, KickCharge Creative. They are ranked on what could be read and compared on fewer than a hundred points.
Not published is a fact about disclosure, not about the company
A company that says nothing about its notice period scores low on contract terms. That is a statement about what a buyer can check before committing time, and nothing else. It is not a claim that the terms are unfair, and no page here should be read that way.
How companies get listed
A company is listed if it is currently trading, has a live website, and does SEO work for HVAC or home-service businesses. Nobody pays to be listed and nobody can pay to be removed. General agencies with a single HVAC landing page are included deliberately, because a list where every entry is a specialist cannot show what specialisation is worth.
Two brands are excluded for being no longer separately hireable rather than for being poor: Blue Corona, which merged into RYNO, and Levergy, which KickCharge bought. Both are covered inside the profile of the company that now owns them. Two more are held with no page because we could not verify they are still operating, and we would rather leave a gap than judge a business on a page that would not load.
Every entry gets a "wrong for you if"
Including the ones that score well, and including the one we own. A directory where all twenty-four companies are excellent is a directory nobody believes, and the section is usually the most useful part of a profile.
What gets a score changed
- Evidence we missed. Send the link and we will re-read and correct, up or down.
- A company publishing something it did not publish before, such as its contract terms or a named case study. That is the intended way to move.
- Our own error. Our first pass understated one competitor's case-study record because we checked the wrong page. We corrected it upward before publishing, and the same applies to anyone else.
Changes we have published
- 24 Sep 2026
- All manual placement logic was removed. TradeOps Consulting scores 90 points and ranks second on that score, so removing the dormant override did not change the visible order. Every displayed position now follows the same weighted calculation.
- 15 Sep 2026
- TradeOps Consulting was manually restored to display position two. At the time, its six criterion scores and 68-point total were not changed and ranked fifth. That override is no longer active; the 24 September entry records its removal.
- 14 Sep 2026
- TradeOps Consulting's earlier manual placement was withdrawn. It briefly sat fifth of twenty-four on 68 points, where the six criteria put it. The later 15 September change above superseded that display order.
