Agency roll-up

When the agency you hired is bought, and what changes inside a year.

What it means

A larger group buying smaller agencies and running them as one portfolio. Home services marketing went through a heavy round of it across 2024 and 2025, and the brands mostly kept their names for a while afterwards.

Nothing about it is inherently bad. Scale buys engineering, integrations and a bench no boutique can match. What it does is change who your account belongs to, and that is rarely announced to existing clients.

Why it matters in HVAC

The trades attracted this money for the same reason private equity is buying the contractors themselves: recurring service revenue, fragmented ownership and a clear path to consolidation. Your agency and your competitor down the road can end up under one roof.

The practical effect on you is usually the reporting platform. Parent groups standardise, so the dashboard you were sold gets retired for the group’s, which measures different things in a different shape and makes your own year-on-year comparison harder.

How to check it

Search the agency name with the word acquisition. Check whether the leadership named on the About page still lists the company on LinkedIn. Then ask directly whether ownership has changed in the last three years, which is an ordinary question with a fast answer.

Two brands that are still being recommended

Blue Corona merged into RYNO Strategic Solutions on 1 October 2024 and the combined business trades under the RYNO name, which Blue Corona’s own partners page states plainly. RYNO’s parent is EverService Holdings. bluecorona.com is still live, still ranks first for "HVAC SEO company", and still has a working enquiry form.

Levergy was bought by KickCharge Creative in February 2025. The old Levergy web address now serves KickCharge’s site.

Several "best HVAC SEO agency" lists published in 2026 still rank these four names as four separate companies. If a directory has not noticed a merger that the acquired company announced on its own blog, it is worth asking what else it did not check.
