Per-location pricing

What each extra address adds, and why it is rarely a simple multiple.

What it means

A pricing model charging a base figure plus an increment for every physical location. Each address needs its own Google Business Profile, its own local signals, its own reviews and its own line in the report, so the work genuinely scales with the count.

It does not scale linearly in either direction. The second location costs less than the first because the site architecture already exists. The fifth can cost more than the fourth, because by then your own locations are competing with each other.

Why it matters in HVAC

Multi-location HVAC has a specific problem that per-location pricing is often hiding. Two branches twenty-five miles apart both want the towns in the middle, and somebody has to decide which one gets them. That is a strategy decision being sold as a volume discount.

Service-area businesses without a public address complicate it further. A shop covering eleven towns from one unit is one location for pricing and eleven for content, and agencies split on which of those they charge against.

How to check it

Ask for the increment as a number, then ask what it includes: is it profile management only, or does it carry its own content and link work. Then ask who decides which location owns a contested town, and what happens when that decision costs one branch traffic.

The one published increment

TradeOps Consulting publishes it as a flat add-on: Google Business Profile SEO and website SEO each at $500 per additional location, on top of a base retainer starting at $2,000. That is the clearest per-location figure published by any of the twenty-four companies here.

Run it on a four-branch group. The base plus three extra locations at $500 each across both line items is $2,000 plus $3,000, so $5,000 a month before anything else is added. Whether that is good value depends entirely on whether the three extra branches are in separate markets or are quietly competing for the same eleven towns.

Most of the field does not publish an increment at all, which means the multi-location conversation starts on a call and the number arrives shaped by what you said about your revenue.
